Sei v3.8.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 64851894. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd sei
git pull
git checkout v3.8.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v3.8.0
seid version

# Should be commit 7ee257fec44816378d6995ed45fac6d0c7aaf3b9
seid version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3.8.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/seid $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3.8.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v3.8.0
$HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3.8.0/bin/seid version
