Sei v5.5.5 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 84006014. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd sei
git pull
git checkout v5.5.5
make install

Check Version

# should be v5.5.5
seid version

# Should be commit 35a7bf03c38ac5ec9875ee75dab0280fdeda1972
seid version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.5.5/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/seid $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.5.5/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v5.5.5
$HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.5.5/bin/seid version
