Sei v5.9.0-hotfix Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 107000672. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd sei
git pull
git checkout v5.9.0-hotfix
make install

Check Version

# should be v5.9.0-hotfix
seid version

# Should be commit 895159d3d1a4e3cda1914313baa01e9aa02a7bf0
seid version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.9.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/seid $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.9.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v5.9.0-hotfix
$HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.9.0/bin/seid version
