Sei v6.0.1 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 119821526. It is estimated to take place 10 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd sei
git pull
git checkout v6.0.1
make install

Check Version

# should be v6.0.1
seid version

# Should be commit 710256a2163a56b11ef6be1c1588cf4259e1a866
seid version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v6.0.1/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/seid $HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v6.0.1/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v6.0.1
$HOME/.sei/cosmovisor/upgrades/v6.0.1/bin/seid version
