Stargaze v17.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 23132641. It is estimated to take place 2 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd stargaze
git pull
git checkout v17.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 17.0.0
starsd version

# Should be commit a2e9c3d77ab576b4442a8916a5a0369ac8759019
starsd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.starsd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v17/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/starsd $HOME/.starsd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v17/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 17.0.0
$HOME/.starsd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v17/bin/starsd version
