Cronos v1.6.1 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 45062800. It is estimated to take place 4 hours ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd cronos
git pull
git checkout v1.6.1
make install

Check Version

# should be 1.6.1
cronosd version

# Should be commit 05e102ef83b9ab0d5b55d46fb90f5fee53a295d2
cronosd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.cronos/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.6/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/cronosd $HOME/.cronos/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.6/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 1.6.1
$HOME/.cronos/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.6/bin/cronosd version
