Prop 571: Update Community Burn Auction Maximum Caps For Auctioned Assets

This proposal seeks to update parameters of the Auction Module to accommodate the new 28-day community burn cadence by scaling the maximum caps for auctioned assets. Specifically, we propose multiplying the current caps—designed for a 7-day cadence—by 4 to align with the 28-day cycle and ensure consistent capacity, participation, and burn throughput.

Summary of Changes:

  • inj_basket_max_cap: Update the maximum cap for the per-basket auction capacity from its current 7-day value to a 28-day equivalent by multiplying by 4. Maintains equivalent weekly capacity over the longer cadence, preventing artificial bottlenecks and enabling expected participation without fragmentation.
  • inj_auction_max_cap: Update the overall auction maximum cap from its current 7-day value to a 28-day equivalent by multiplying by 4. Ensures the global cap scales proportionally with the cadence change so the aggregate burn opportunity remains aligned with prior policy and community expectations.

Note: This proposal makes no other functional changes to auction mechanics, eligibility, or distribution logic. It only rescales the relevant caps to match the 28-day cadence.

Actions:

  • By voting YES on this proposal, you support scaling the inj_basket_max_cap and inj_auction_max_cap by 4× to align with the 28-day community burn cadence.
  • By voting NO on this proposal, you do not support these parameter changes.
  • By voting NO WITH VETO, you find this proposal to be spam/irrelevant/malicious, and support burning the 100 INJ deposit, if such votes are greater than ⅓ of the total voting power.
  • By voting ABSTAIN, you wish to contribute to quorum while formally declining to vote either for or against the proposal.
