Prop 1004: Whitelist Quicksilver Labs Development Address for CosmWasm Contract Uploads

Proposal

This proposal requests that the address osmo12zqrwrgp4ntqswk8rn9dcv2ykwqa3ml2tz4utr

be granted permission to upload CosmWasm smart contracts on the Osmosis chain without requiring additional governance approval.

Granting this permission enables Quicksilver Labs to deploy and maintain infrastructure contracts that support Quicksilver LSTs (Liquid Staking Tokens) on Osmosis.

About Quicksilver

Quicksilver is a sovereign Cosmos SDK blockchain providing liquid staking services across the Interchain. Quicksilver allows users to stake their assets while receiving liquid staking tokens (qAssets) that can be used in DeFi while continuing to earn staking rewards.

Quicksilver LSTs currently available include:

  • qATOM (liquid staked ATOM)
  • qOSMO (liquid staked OSMO)
  • qSTARS (liquid staked STARS)
  • qSOMM (liquid staked SOMM)
  • qJUNO (liquid staked JUNO)
  • qDYDX (liquid staked DYDX)
  • qSAGA (liquid staked SAGA)
  • And more...

What This Permission Enables

Granting upload authority to Quicksilver Labs will allow us to:

  1. Deploy Infrastructure Contracts: Build and deploy CosmWasm contracts that enhance the utility and functionality of Quicksilver LSTs on Osmosis
  2. Support LST Integrations: Create tooling and infrastructure to support Quicksilver LST liquidity pools and DeFi integrations on Osmosis
  3. Maintain & Iterate: Quickly deploy updates and improvements without requiring separate governance proposals for each contract upload
  4. Expand LST Utility: Enable new use cases for qAssets within the Osmosis ecosystem

Requested Permission

Grant upload authority to: osmo12zqrwrgp4ntqswk8rn9dcv2ykwqa3ml2tz4utr

This address will be used by the Quicksilver Labs engineering team to upload and maintain CosmWasm contracts supporting Quicksilver LST infrastructure on Osmosis.
